The New York Board of Rabbis is an interdenominational council of rabbis in the New York metropolitan area. It was founded in 1881 and is the oldest rabbinical organization in the United States. The Board of Rabbis works to promote understanding and education about Judaism, as well as fostering interfaith dialogue and cooperation. It also offers guidance and support to its members in their roles as spiritual leaders, and promotes social justice and community involvement. The Board of Rabbis has a diverse membership, including rabbis from Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and Humanistic Judaism.
